Nikki grew up in Nebraska and spent the first two years of her formal education in a Montessori classroom. That experience fostered a love of learning, books, and experiential education that continues to this day. Upon completing her undergraduate education, she worked as a Lower Elementary guide and Upper Elementary guide at Montessori schools in Houston, TX. In the independent school sector, she had the opportunity to open two new Lower Elementary classrooms.

After completing additional education, Nikki founded a Montessori middle school program where she was the administrator and classroom guide. Throughout her years as an adolescent guide and administrator, she studied ABAR, identity, and intersectionality extensively, earning a Masters in Montessori education with a focus in supporting adolescents' identity in the classroom.

Nikki currently is a teacher trainer and consultant and has worked across the United States and the globe including Poland, Zimbabwe, and Thailand. She is a doctoral student at the University of Wisconsin River Falls studying the intersection of Montessori education and social justice. She is the co-founder and Chief Realist of Montessori on Wheels. Her dream is that one day all children will have access to education that best supports them as individuals in culturally-responsive and family-founded environments.
